I'm Sailing Away

Matt and I were lucky enough to take a cruise to Mexico this March. We are stuck in this same itinerary and this time, even sailed on the same ship. We just really love this one and you can't beat the price.
Here I am in the glass elevators in the center of the ship

The Arch at Land's End in Cabo San Lucas. No matter how many times I have been here, its beauty still takes my breath away each time I see it. I
This is a cowboy putting on a show at a beach bar in Cabo. It was spring break while we were there so it was a little on the crazy side with all the college kids.
All along the beach in Puerto Vallarta there are these amazing sand sculptures. This time, we were lucky enough to see them working on one of them.
Here is another sand sculpture

Here is one of Matt's favorite things about Mexico. He is in heaven with his fresh guacamole! :)
And this is one of MY favorite parts of cruising. They have the BEST soft serve ice cream and the "bad" news is....you can get it whenever you want!
Matt and I at dinner
Arrrrrggggghhhhhh
Dinner time again
I'm enjoying one of my very favorite desserts of all time. Grand Marnier Souffle. The best thing EVER!!!!

Ahhhhh.....it just doesn't get any better than sailing away with the one you love!

U2 Concert

Matt and I at the U2 Concert at Rice Eccles Stadium! We went with Chuck and Shawna and we had such a great time. It had been a downpour all week and since it was an outdoor concert....I was seriously concerned about being wet and miserable. Luckily the rain cleared out and we were able to enjoy the show. We had general admission which was quite an adventure. After a few quirks, we found ourselves near front and center.

The stage was set up as this ridiculously huge claw thing. It had a center stage and then a second stage that went around. Between them, was what we called "the mosh pit". After a short period of time, we learned that was NOT where we wanted to be. It was total chaos so we worked our way back out to the outer ring.

The Fray was the opening act. They did a good job but with a group as great as U2...they didn't really hold a candle. It was cool to be so close in the day light though.

Shawna and I goofing around right before the show

This is how close we were to Bono as he walked around the outer ring. :) It was such an amazing show!

Thank you!
